It’s our pleasure to welcome Paolo Demarie to Corner Wines, we have met and tasted with Paolo in the past but this will be his first time to to our shop. We have selected six of Paolo’s wines for the tasting, the list is:

2013 Langhe Arneis- Piedmont, Italy

100% Arneis- This everyday white table wine shows a pale straw yellow luster with a hint of green high-lights. A perfume of ripe fruit and abundant floral on the nose provoke your senses to recall flavors of peach, apricot, wild broom, and chamomile. Pleasantly dry on the palate with light white fruits and a nutty dried almond finish.

2011 Barbera d’Alba Superiore- Piedmont, Italy

100% Barbera- A stimulating bouquet showing almond flowers and violets. On the palate it is dry, well bodied, and has a great balance with juicy hints of Morello Cherry and Blackberry. To end on a high note, there is a slight nuttiness on the finish. This wine will accompany any traditional meal, especially savory baked dishes.

Nebbiolo de Alba- Piedmont, Italy

100% Nebbiolo- Delicate, but intense on the nose, this wine opens up slowly to release delightful impressions of wild violet and ripe Morello cherry. Mellow tones of cherry, raspberry, and wild strawberry jam on the palate, with a bit of star anise on the finish.

2009 Barbaresco- Piedmont, Italy

100% Nebbiolo- The aroma is intense with a fruity bouquet of prune and mulberry with a hint of spice. Full-bodied on the pallet and enveloping with flavors of plum, blackberry and cherry and a lingering finish.

2010 Barolo- Piedmont, Italy

100% Nebbiolo – The aroma is intense with fruit and spice. Full-bodied on the palate and enveloping with flavors of plum, blackberry and cherry and a lingering finish of violet and vanilla. Full bodied and robust with a lovely balance.

2013 Moscato D’Asti- Piedmont, Italy

100% Moscato- This beautiful Moscato boasts a soft golden yellow color with greenish reflections and a luscious perfume of spring flowers, honeyed melons, and apricots. Sweet by nature, but balanced on the palate, this wine gives off a youthful, fresh character with lively bubbles to tickle your tongue.
