Wednesday I received notification of my allocation of 2010 Howell at the Moon, Howell Mountain, Estate Cabernet and Cabernet from the Knoll Vineyard. We tasted these wines last winter, they are stunning. The Vineyard is now sold out. Parker’s review’s and listed prices are below. It should be picked up at the winery on Friday for refrigerated transport to Texas arriving Monday. I should be receiving my allocation by Wednesday August 27th. We are taking orders now!

The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Knoll Vineyard is slightly more restrained aromatically, but it explodes on the palate, creating a broad swath of ripe cassis, black cherry, crushed rock and forest floor notes. Full-bodied, opulent and sexy, this beauty is ideal for drinking over the next decade.

The stunning 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Howell at the Moon boasts a dense ruby/purple color as well as beautiful, sweet black raspberry and black currant fruit intermixed with a hint of graphite, full body and a long finish. Pure, textured and sumptuous, this beauty was made by well-known winemaker, Sarah Gott. It should drink well for a decade or more.
