Chilean Wine Tasting Tonight & Wine for Labor Day Weekend

Tonight from 6:30-8:30pm we will be tasting wines from Errazuriz Wineries of Aconcagua Valley and Costa, Chile. This is one of the vineyards we will be visiting in our upcoming to Chile/Argentina in February 2015. The wine selections featured tonight are:

• Errazuriz Max Reserva Sauvignon Blanc
• Errazuriz Max Reserva Chardonnay
• Errazuriz Max Reserva Pinot Noir
• Errazuriz Max Reserva Carmenere
• Errazuriz Max Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon

Don Maximiano Errázuriz founded Viña Errázuriz in 1870 in the Valle de Aconcagua, 100 kms north of the capital city, Santiago. Recognizing that this valley, with its cool, rainy winters, hot, dry summers and moist Pacific Ocean breezes, was ideal for growing grapes, Don Maximiano sent for the finest clones from France and with tenacity and perseverance transformed this barren land into a world-class vineyard.

Today, the tradition of quality lives on with Don Maximiano’s descendant, Eduardo Chadwick. Eduardo is the fifth generation of his family to be involved in the wine business.

Eduardo has overseen the modernization of the winemaking technology at this historic estate. Dedicated to producing estate grown wines of superior quality, Errázuriz has built a reputation as the “Best of Chile”.

Labor Day signals the unofficial end of summer and you will be having a great three day weekend, we will be CLOSED in Monday ‘Labor Day’ so we get a rare two day weekend. Come in today, Friday or Saturday to pick up a few wines to go with your festivities. If you can’t make the tasting tonight, a number of the Errazuriz wines will be perfect for food pairing. Of course we can answer any questions you might have concerning which wines you should serve with which foods.
