Bring Home The Bacon (Tasting?) Monday November 3rd

We have a sizzling tasting coming up on Monday November 3rd from 7-9pm here at Corner Wines. I smell bacon, everything’s better with bacon. It appears the whole country has fallen under the spell of bacon. Are you ready for the ultimate; five different types of bacon each paired with a particular wine.

We are partnering with Gary Hirsch of Hirsch’s Specialty Meats and his cured bacon. This desire for great bacon has sent the farmers and artisans for high-quality, locally produced bacon, which tastes far better than any grocery store brand and is bringing back the idea of curing and smoking it. And when you pair up a specific wine with the specially chosen bacon, it brings out the flavors even more in each. Just as wine and cheese is brought together for optimum flavor, so is bacon and wine! No need to be a wine expert to know that bacon and wine is a match made in hog heaven.

The five different bacon types selected will be:

Applewood Smoked, Canadian, Peppered Smoked Bacon, Hickory Smoked and Jalapeño bacons
(I am leaving the wine selections secret until the tasting)

We are holding the seating to 26 people for this tasting with a cost of $25.00/person. Call or e-mail your reservations for the everything’s better with bacon bonanza!
